
Easy Office: Executing on a Big Vision using NetSuite and DSG
Jeff Russell, Founder and CEO of Easy Office is a man with a big vision. However, to execute on his vision, he needed help and for that help he turned to DSG and NetSuite’s SaaS financial solution.
“My vision is to change the way that non-profits do their accounting” says Easy Office’s Jeff Russell. “You’ve got all these small non-profit organizations running at 100 miles per hour in support of their mission but lacking the systems to really support this activity. Most lack financial expertise and resources and are only too happy to have someone else deal with their accounts and reporting. We help them by implementing standardized processes that get their accounting and reporting done more quickly and that gives them more time to focus on their mission”.
However, while Russell and his team were focused on improving their clients’ efficiency, as so often happens, their own business systems suffered. “It’s funny when you think about it,” says Russell “Here we are sorting out customers’ systems while our own were in complete disarray. For example, it took us 4 days to get our invoicing out every month because we had no easy way to view our activity with each customer and figure out what they owed us.”
Russell knew that to execute on his vision he needed to solve these problems. He looked at several financial solutions and implementers but, once he’d met DSG and understood the power of NetSuite’s non-profit value proposition, he knew he’d found the right combination for Easy Office’s business. Within two weeks of meeting DSG, Russell had selected them for the project and within another six weeks, Easy Office were live on a complete sales, support and financials implementation of NetSuite. “DSG did what they said they would do. They helped us not only with the implementation of NetSuite but also with how we could get on top of key processes like our mid-month billing position and accelerate our month-end invoicing procedures.”
