Order processing was tuned and integrated with a high volume VAR order processing solution through EDI. Salesforce.com and QuickBooks data were imported. | With the recent release of SuiteScipt (server side scripting) customers now have the ability to customize their business process beyond standard NetSuite functionality.
For example, customers can now have a task automatically created each time a sales person creates a new lead. This way the sales person is automatically reminded to call the new lead within a specific time frame.
SuiteScripting runs on NetSuite's servers as opposed to the client's web browser. This way running the scripts does not slow performance. |

| Mail Merge is an underutilized tool inside of Salesforce.com. It shouldn't be. Mail Merge is a powerful feature that integrates live Salesforce.com data into Microsoft Word templates. You can use Mail Merge on standard and custom objects. With Mail Merge you can create attractive quotes, marketing letters, case updates etc that you can send to your customers. Mail Merge can help you automate tasks that often take a degree of manual effort. For example creating a good looking quote out of Salesforce.com is often the 'carrot' to help get your sales reps using and updating tool regularly.
To create a Mail Merge template, download and install the Salesforce.com Office tool. Use the tool to insert the mail merge language into your new document template. Your document template will ultimately pull Salesforce.com data out of Salesforce.com. After your document is formatted to your specification, upload the document into Salesforce.com: Setup/Administration Setup/Communication Templates/Mail Merge Templates. After the document is uploaded, run the mail merge from the Mail Merge button on the Activity History Related list on your specified object. |
